The Office of the Campus Library

The Office of the Campus Library shall be responsible for the security of library holdings of the Mindanao State University Buug. The office shall also be responsible for the coordination and supervision of the library services in all sections of both high schools and colleges.

Mission

The library shall provide an extensive, well-organized, and balanced collection that supports the academic programs of the school; develop and sustain well-trained and competent library staff to promote effective use of the library; and equip its users with lifelong learning of using library resources efficiently and effectively.

Goals
  1. Acquire updated and provide access to the library's collection, print and electronic resources to ensure their relevance and adequacy in supporting the instructional excellence and quality researches of MSU-Buug's academic programs
  2. Improve the accessibility and usability of library services to cater to the diverse needs of the MSU-Buug community, including students, faculty, and researchers.
  3. Prioritize and allocate budget resources based on the library's strategic priorities, such as collection development, technology infrastructure, and staff training.
  4. Regularly assess and address the maintenance and repair needs of the library's physical infrastructure, including the building, furniture, equipment, lighting, and climate control systems.
  5. Optimize the use of physical space in the library to provide comfortable and functional areas for different types of library activities, such as studying, group work, research, and events.
  6. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborations with external organizations, such as other libraries, academic institutions, government agencies, and community groups, to enhance the library's resources, services, and impact.
  7. Foster cooperative relationships with faculty and researchers to support their information needs and research activities, such as joint research projects, data sharing, and scholarly communication initiatives.
