The Budget Office is responsible for the preparation of budget proposals to be submitted to the DBM, CHED, Senate, House of Representatives, MSU System, and COA. The division shall also be responsible for the annual Internal Budget and Program of Receipts and Expenditures (PRE) to be approved by BOR. The division shall also prepare and submit Budget Execution Documents (BEDs) to DBM, quarterly URS-Generated BFARs to DBM and COA, and Registries to COA. The division shall also provide a forecast of future budget needs and suggest spending priorities to increase utilization, analyze financial information to ensure all operations are within budget, and oversee the effective implementation of budgeting policies and procedures.
